In 1954, Ford shocked the world with it’s ultra-patriotic FX-Atmos.

Not really.

It remains a small concept today that few know about. But check out that color scheme! It may look like silver, but that is actually blue. Trust me.

Holy crap! Look at that! This car has the best exhausts I have ever seen!

Atomic batteries to power! Turbines to speed! I love those cars of the future, but there’s really not much futuristic about it. For the 50s, it might have been MORE futuristic if they had removed the fins. But I love the jet cockpit canopy, even though it would get pretty hot inside that greenhouse down here in Texas. The 50s was the dawn of the jet age, and there’s no doubt that supersonic fighters were influencing the car designers. Neat. Thanks for posting this.
